Interchange Design and Construction
This exhibit shows the East-West Connector and I-35 Interchange after all construction is completed. The interchange will be constructed in phases, called “Work Packages”. The first Work Package will provide the basic connection from the EWC to I-35 and will continue ODOT’s plan to make the I-35 Service Roads one-way. Future work packages will extend the EWC to the east and west along with one-way frontage roads. The interchange with I-35 will include direct connection ramps for all movements. Please view the videos below for more explanation of the first Work Package and the ultimate future interchange. Construction phasing for later work packages will be determined as engineering design work progresses.
While OTA is overseeing the construction of this interchange, only the EWC will be tolled. I-35 will remain free for drivers.
